I'm a bibliophile, a writer, a wanderer. I began teaching in the early nineties as a Peace Corps volunteer in Sri Lanka. Graduate school followed, and TESL certified, I continued teaching English abroad and in the US. After several years in the fields of Academic ESL and Writing at local colleges, my desire to involve myself in the writing community grew too strong to ignore. I reentered grad school, this time following my own true north of writing and working with writers from around the planet.
I work with publishers of fiction, non-fiction, and scholarly journals. Having brought my own creative and academic work to publication, I have a strong grasp of the stylistic criteria for these genres. As teacher-turned-editor, I'm thrilled to be able work directly with writers who are fully invested in their work, literary, academic, or otherwise. My practice of creative consultation, developed over years of working face-to-face with students, remains the most rewarding and emotionally sustaining aspect of my career.
Drop me a line. What have you been writing lately?
